“I have a Sports Medicine/Orthopedic practice in California and in Oregon. I have been in practice for 44 years. In the past two years, I have purchased two Terason MSK US units, one for each office. I am very happy with the quality of the Mac base and the quality of the images. The software updates, like the needle placement software, have been very useful. The service provided by my representative has been exemplary. Her knowledge and timeliness is dependable. I would give the company and the machine my highest recommendation.”

”We would like to thank Terason for allowing us to use the uSmart® 3200T on our trip to Haiti. We have been able to demonstrate to local nurses and doctors the pathophysiology of venous disease using this compact ultrasound. uSmart 3200T has also been invaluable in teaching them the reasons we have developed a special technique for the treatment of saphenous insufficiency.
Obviously, most places in Haiti do not have an US, so it is very important for local health care providers to understand the pathophysiology of what they are treating.
We have used the uSmart 3200T in both clinics, hospital, and homes with no floors, doors, electricity, etc… for patients unable to make it to the clinic.
This is the best US I have used and only 3# and extremely easy to use.”

Burlington, MA, September 26, 2016: On Thursday September 15th, the CNES’s (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales) Cardiospace mission was launched from China’s Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center aboard the new TianGong-2 orbital module. The France-China Cardiospace will be studying how astronauts’ cardiovascular system adapts to microgravity conditions and is deconditioned on their return to Earth. Terason is honored that our advanced technology was chosen as the scanner of choice for this important mission.
April 18th – Iredell EMS used the Ultrasound for the first time on an Level 2 trauma who was tachycardic and complaining of abdominal pain. Thankfully, the FAST exam was non-diagnostic for free fluid in the abdomen. More impressively, no fluid was found on her CT either. We have a protocol to notify the trauma centers if we have positive or negative studies, but to date (4-18-16) 5 studies have been done. All were non-diagnostic in the field, and none were later found to have fluid where it shouldn’t be. So far, so good! I can’t wait for the first true positive – talk about being able to help. Giving the trauma team a 20 minute “heads-up” about critically injured patients will be incredible.”
April 11th – Everyone is ready to go. We had our last formal training session as a big group today. Lots and lots of FAST exams. There is no question that the paramedics can get the correct views! And Dr. Mell let them know that their performance on the written test on the 28th was awesome. With the exception of one image (that literally everyone missed – more likely a projection problem) no one missed more than 1 out of 20 abnormals hidden within a series of 50 images. I think they are only going to get better with time!
March 28th – Kathie and a new Terason rep came down on March 28th, and we did more training. We really focused on the crews’ ability to find abnormal images hidden among normal ones. The crews did great! They are really learning their stuff. The Medical Director and the Chief figure only have one more training on image acquisition and I’ll be released into the wild! As it is, the supervisors have all four ultrasounds up and running and have been practicing with the crews every chance they get.
I am a Terason uSmart 3200T Ultrasound System, joining the team at Iredell County (NC) EMS. I’m getting unboxed today, and am ready to meet the team on March 8th, when the medics begin their ultrasound training with me. My company Terason will be sending clinical specialists to help our medical director get me into service ASAP!.
I will provide all kinds of vital information to hospital EDs, prior to the ambulance’s arrival. Iredell EMS is focusing on trauma applications, so I will be doing eFAST exams and assessing for pregnancy in obtunded patients. The medics will be able to notify trauma teams about what they find, and my small size means that I can be carried right into the hospital to show the team the images they’ve captured. I’ll also provide information during cardiac resuscitation. My images can help medics evaluate their protocol, and better help patients and their families. And, I’ll be helping with IV starts and humeral IO placements.
I’m sure Iredell County EMS will find lots of other things for me to do, and I can’t wait to get started!
